However, what Clubhouse got right was the timing. But with time they saw an inevitable dip in downloads and new signups and people were quick to write a eulogy.<\/p>\n<p>While numbers may have stabilized, Clubhouse also came under the scanner for not regulating conversations on their platforms. Allegations anointing hate speech, misinformation, racism, and much more were leveled against some of the users of this platform.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, privacy concerns were also raised around the use of contact information on this platform. A user has to give access to their contacts while signing up. Furthermore, deleting your account on Clubhouse isn\u2019t an easy process either.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4><strong>Host of Opportunities<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div class=\"new-blog-post-content\">\n<p>Controversies aside, Clubhouse showcases huge potential in an audio-only world. This, apart from their novel ways to emphasize their brand identity. It encourages conversations around artists <a href=\"https:\/\/uxdesign.cc\/how-clubhouse-breaks-the-monotony-through-its-app-icon-4b9e277b6838\" rel=\"nofollow\">by changing its app icon<\/a>. Much like Clubhouse, Twitter Spaces allows users to have live audio conversations on their platform by participating in \u201cSpaces\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Since it is a part of the Twitter ecosystem, updates on new rooms are accessible on your feed (of course if you follow those people).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Features<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>One major advantage of using Twitter Spaces over Clubhouse is the <strong>reach<\/strong>. Twitter has an existing monetizable daily active user base of <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hootsuite.com\/twitter-statistics\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>close to 190 million<\/strong><\/a> against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/05\/25\/clubhouse-has-million-more-on-wait-list-after-android-launch-ceo.html#:~:text=Clubhouse%20reports%20more%20than%2010,a%20day%20on%20the%20app.\" rel=\"nofollow\">10 million of Clubhouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, <strong>increased privacy, regulations<\/strong>, and the trust factor that Twitter offers trumps Clubhouse\u2019s stand on these matters. Safety controls allow hosts to control the mic settings of other members in the space.<\/p>\n<p>With regard to <strong>technical capabilities<\/strong>, Twitter Spaces seems to have better audio and the provision for live subtitles while someone\u2019s speaking. The best part? You don\u2019t have to interrupt your scrolling while listening. Except, of course, the clout that Facebook already has offers additional benefits. You can expect to see Grammy award winners, professional players, journalists, and more. Imagine sharing the same audio room with your celebrity crush!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Features<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Currently, <strong>only public figures and certain Facebook groups<\/strong> are allowed to host rooms on this social audio app.\u00a0 At a time there can be <strong>50 speakers<\/strong> while there\u2019s no limit in the number of listeners.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook Live Audio Rooms also offer <strong>private and public room<\/strong> capabilities, which allows only members and members + visitors to listen to the conversations, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Additional <strong>technical features<\/strong> offered by Facebook Live Audio Rooms include, \u201c<strong>raise a hand<\/strong>\u201d feature to join a conversation and the availability of <strong>emojis and reactions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>And since all social media platforms are going creator first, they are finding novel tricks to boost creators and enable <strong>earning opportunities<\/strong> for them. Facebook allows listeners to buy \u201c<strong>Stars<\/strong>\u201d which bumps up those listeners to an apparent \u201cfront row\u201d where they will be noticeable to these stars and celebs.<\/p>\n<p>Phew, that\u2019s a lot going on here. And so much to offer!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>4. Spotify with its leverage on the music space did well to venture into this space.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Features<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Some of the key features and one-ups that Spotify might have on these platforms include the \u201c<strong>Gems<\/strong>\u201d. Gems are something that listeners can offer the speaker if they like their content. Gems appear on the speaker\u2019s Greenroom profile and are a great way to get some clout on these platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Other than the above features, Greenroom offers all the features that other live audio platforms have. Access to <strong>interactions with celebrities<\/strong>, browsing <strong>topics of interest<\/strong>, and well, of course,<a href=\"https:\/\/greenroomcreatorfund.byspotify.com\/?_ga=2.151893689.127275818.1627021133-1762608592.1627021133\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>the creator fund<\/strong><\/a> to help creators monetize their presence on these platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, there are the usual features of the discussions tab within the Room, which, essentially, is just a space to chat. But unlike Facebook\u2019s Live Audio Room, anyone can start a room in Spotify\u2019s Greenroom.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s some information on these platforms.
